This route climbs Latrigg from the free car park at the top of the lane north of Keswick, the same car park the Skiddaw route here uses. It has room for about 40 cars and sits at about 295 m, so most of Latrigg's 369 m is gained before you leave the car.
The line is about 750 m long and gains about 80 m. It follows mapped footpaths throughout, with a short permissive section near the start, and the whole of it crosses open access land. The first 300 m climb from about 295 m to 330 m. The rest rises more gently, and the last 200 m gain only about 10 m to the top.
The nearest bus stop with a current service is Brentfield in Keswick, about 1.5 km from the car park in a straight line, served by the 509, X4 and X5. The walk from Keswick to the car park is not part of this route; plan it with a map if you arrive by bus.
Latrigg is 369 m high, 206th of the 214 Wainwrights by height, and one of the Northern Fells in Book 5. Its nearest Wainwright neighbours are listed below the route.
The GPX file is the same line, from the car park to the summit. The quickest return is the same path.
