Harrison Stickle is 735 m high, 70th of the 214 Wainwrights by height, and belongs to the Central Fells in Book 3. This route starts at the National Trust's Stickle Ghyll car park, which the Pike of Stickle route shares. Parking is paid and the car park sits at about 90 m. The New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel bus stop, about 160 m away, is served by the 516.

It is a short, steep line: 2.4 km with about 640 m of ascent. The path climbs from the start, reaching about 175 m at 0.5 km, 330 m at 1 km and 460 m at 1.4 km. The first 150 m after the car park are on paths the landowner opens by permission rather than public rights of way, and a stretch from about 0.2 km to 0.5 km has a rock surface on the map.

The gradient relaxes at Stickle Tarn, about 1.5 km along, where the line runs nearly level at about 470 m for 200 m. Then it climbs again, to about 540 m at 1.8 km and 660 m at 2.1 km. The last 230 m are on a path the landowner opens by permission rather than public rights of way. OpenStreetMap grades it as hiking, the only graded part of the route, and it ends at the summit cairn at 735 m.

About 0.9 km of the line follows public footpaths and a few metres of bridleway, and 1.8 km crosses open access land.
