Nethermost Pike is 891 m high, 9th of the 214 Wainwrights by height, and belongs to the Eastern Fells in Book 1. This route starts from Wythburn car park, where parking is paid. The car park sits at about 190 m, and the Wythburn Church bus stop, about 130 m away, is served by the 555.

The line is 3.4 km long and gains about 710 m. After a short track from the car park, it joins a public bridleway at about 65 m and stays on it for 3.1 km. OpenStreetMap grades almost all of that bridleway mountain hiking.

The climb is long and even. The line reaches about 430 m at 1 km, 700 m at 2 km and 860 m at 2.8 km. From there it runs nearly level for about 400 m, dipping slightly to about 855 m.

At about 3.2 km the route leaves the bridleway for a path that is not graded for difficulty on the map. The last 230 m rise to the top at 891 m, where a cairn is mapped.

About 3.2 km of the line follows the public bridleway and 3 km crosses open access land. A stretch of about 35 m on the track near the car park is on neither in the data.
